**Virtual Conference Offering
We acknowledge that the volatile U.S. political landscape in 2025 has generated significant apprehension and legitimate security concerns for our international colleagues considering travel to the San Diego Conference. In response to your expressed reservations, we are implementing a comprehensive virtual conference platform to accommodate NASSM members who face travel restrictions, safety concerns, or personal reluctance to enter the United States at this time. We stand in firm solidarity with our international community and recognize the difficult position in which many of you find yourselves. We are committed to ensuring that your valuable contributions and participation remain integral to our scholarly community through this enhanced hybrid conference format, which will offer equitable engagement opportunities regardless of your physical location. With this in mind, we have priced the virtual rates based on increased AV costs to host a hybrid conference and to accommodate conference contract obligations.
How is NASSM 2025 going virtual? All breakout rooms will have virtual links provided in the program and will be shared with the moderators. All presenters, whether in person or virtual, will log into the virtual link and will share their slides. Virtual attendees will have access to all presentations and we will continue to live stream the Zeigler, President’s keynote, and Founders’ Dinner on social media as we have each of the last three years. The conference committee will also work on how to make the Welcome Breakfast a virtual event, as well. If you have any questions, please reach out to acting Executive Director Bri Newland at director@nassm.org.
