An official research journal of the North American Society for Sport Management, Journal of Sport Management (JSM) aims to publish innovative empirical, theoretical, and review articles focused on governance, management, and marketing of sport organizations. Sport Management Education Journal

The Sport Management Education Journal (SMEJ) is a peer-reviewed publication of the North American Society for Sport Management that promotes advancement of the body of knowledge in pedagogy as it concerns all sport management education and disseminates knowledge about sport management courses, curricula, and teaching. Topics of interest include issues and trends in sport management education, accreditation, online learning, experiential learning, effective teaching methods, curricula development, and employment competencies. international Journal of sport management

The International Journal of Sport Management (IJSM) was acquired by NASSM from American Press, with formal ratification occurring on April 29, 2026.

The current mission and scope of IJSM is as follows: The International Journal of Sport Management serves professionals in the fields of sport and recreation management as well as athletic administrations. Its international scope and the breadth of its articles represent the complete spectrum of all these. Scholars as well as practitioners have an opportunity to contribute to the body of knowledge relating to sport, recreation, competitive athletics, as well as fitness and wellness programs.

In the future, NASSM members will be able to access the full contents of IJSM by logging into the Members Space.

NOTE: IJSM is not yet an official journal of NASSM, despite its ownership. Constitutional amendments and other strategic recommendations will be brought to the membership for voting in 2027. In the interim, NASSM will execute operational tactics designed to ensure business continuity for IJSM and NASSM member access.
